$100K in memorabilia reported stolen from Niagara Falls store

On Nov. 30, 2023, 2 District (Niagara Falls / Niagara on the Lake) uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) responded for a report of a commercial break and enter in Niagara Falls.

Officers attended Icon Autographs on Dorchester Road near Thorold Stone Road in Niagara Falls. Icon Autographs is a memorabilia store which specializes in items that have been signed by famous celebrities. The initial investigation determined that sometime between Nov. 29, 2023 at 4:07 p.m. and Nov. 30, 2023 at 9 a.m. unknown suspect(s) forced their way into the business. The suspects damaged the front door to gain entry.

Once inside, the suspects ransacked the store stealing numerous pieces of memorabilia and collectibles. Initial estimates of loss are believed to be near $100,000.

The investigation has been assigned to detectives from the 2 District office. Once a list of stolen items has been finalized it will be released to assist in the recovery and identification of suspects.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the investigating officers by calling 905-688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009059.

Anyone (residents or businesses) in the area with closed circuit security cameras, doorbell video cameras, or dash cameras are asked to review their footage for suspicious activity for the period between Nov. 29, 2023 at 4:07 p.m. and Nov. 30, 2023 at 9 a.m.

Members of the public who wish to provide information anonymously can contact Crime Stoppers of Niagara online or by calling 1-800-222-8477. Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards to persons who contact the program with information which leads to an arrest.
