Woman, 19, dead after single-vehicle crash in Toronto

Toronto police say a 19-year-old woman has died after a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning.

Investigators say the crash happened on Lake Shore Boulevard West at about 2:40 a.m.

That's when the speeding sports car she was in crossed into oncoming lanes and struck a concrete barrier.

They say the 30-year-old man who was driving the BMW M4 suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead.

Police are looking to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have security or dash cam footage from the area.
