Toronto police identify teen boy killed in weekend shooting

TORONTO — Police in Toronto have identified a teenage boy killed after being shot in the city's east end this weekend.

The force says Caden Francis, 16, was found with gunshot wounds when police arrived at the scene Saturday night.

They say the boy was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say a post-mortem examination is scheduled for Monday.

Officers will remain at the scene to investigate.

Authorities are asking witnesses who saw Francis or have information to contact police.
