It is with great sadness and with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of James Frederick Sills, after a lengthy battle with illness at NHS-St. Catharines on Sunday December 24th 2023 at the age of 67.  Predeceased by his parents, Allen and Margaret Sills. Predeceased by the love of his life, his wife Donna Lee (nee Fox).  Devoted father of Ryan (Jennifer Carlisle) and Jeffrey (Haley Godfrey).  Cherished grandfather of Emmerson. Loving brother of Jean Carter.  Jim will be missed by his fiancée, Louise Roy and by her daughters: Stephanie, Kristen, Callysa and their families.

Jim has had many passions throughout his life, but his favourites were being a loving father and grandfather.  Jim enjoyed golfing with his son, Ryan, planning Toronto Maple Leafs victory parades, going out with friends to see Darryl’s band play and relaxing in his back yard oasis with Louise, always a Rye n Coke in hand.  Jim was always present in his grandson’s life from sports to building toys to playing in Papa’s pool to collecting neighbours garbage bins, he enjoyed it all.  Jim was a hardworking man throughout his life, turned handy man, then in later years mainly supervisor duties while nibbling on Timbits.  Jim had a sweet tooth, especially when it came to Louise making her banana bread; Louise would always have to keep an eye on the chocolate chips.  Jim adored his friends and family, especially the four-legged kind.  Jim was able to do a father son trip with Jeffrey out to Edmonton to see Ryan and Jenn’s first house together before he passed.

Many more wonderful memories come to mind when it comes to Jim.  In honouring Jim’s wishes private family arrangements have been completed. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.  Memorial donations to the Humane Society of Greater Niagara would be appreciated.  https://donate.mytributegift.org/Service?cid=2e675c48e684036fccc2c0357a2995b7f95968f7c8f95d8cf6f2090d0f82446c  Arrangements entrusted to Considerate Cremation & Burial Services, 26 Nihan Drive, St. Catharines (between Lake Street & Scott Street), 289-362-1144.  Online condolences may be made at CCBSCares.ca
