SCOTT, LILLIAN “Lilly” nee Horn (Retired from Brock University housekeeping) Peacefully, after having received exemplary care for more than two years from the staff at Millennium Trail Manor, on Friday, September 15, 2023 at the age of 97. Lilly was the embodiment of a hard-working and dedicated mother, raising her four boys on her own, and doing it well. Proud and devoted to her sons, Garry (Andrea) Savage, Allan (Juanita Vibert) Savage, Marvin Savage and the late Wayne (survived by Christine) Savage. Caring Grandma to Mike (Cindy), Dean (Jeanna), Brad (Cassie), Jesse (Stephanie) and Sarah. Great Grandmother to Brennen, Carson, Taylor, Viktoria, James, Liam, Breanna, Kaelyn, Callie, Ashlin, Oliver and Lennon. Lilly is survived by her sister Milly Peitsch, but predeceased by her siblings Jean McPherson and John Horn, and her parents John and Olga. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, but especially Diane, Bev and Ron. Lilly loved being in the garden – vegetable or flower – it didn’t matter to her. She rode a motorcycle until she was in her 80’s and enjoyed traveling with the Walter Ostinak band when they toured in the US and dancing to polka music. Most of all, she loved her family, sacrificing and working hard to make sure her boys had everything they needed. Relatives and friends will be received at BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME 2 Regent Street, Thorold on Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00- 9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 AM Friday, September 22, 2023. Interment Hillside Cemetery Ridgeville. If desired, donations in Lilly’s memory may be made to the Salvation Army. Online condolences may be left at www.Bocchinufsofh.com.
