MONCUR, John Patterson

John came to Welland, Ontario, Canada in 1959 with his wife “Vi” Violet Catherine (Munro) and his infant daughter Karen.  He began his career at Atlas Steel as a Millwright and Union Executive member for many years.  Following this 35-year career, he and Vi successfully operated the award winning Glen Mhor House Bed and Breakfast in Niagara Falls for 11 years.  John died after fighting a brief illness at the Niagara Health System – St. Catharines site, on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 in his 86^th year.  Husband of the late Vi (November 3, 1999).  Dear father of Karen Moncur (Tracey) and Iain Ricketts-Moncur (Kathy).  Loving grandpa to Graham (Maddie) and Jack.  Uncle to Dave Munro (Vicki) and Stephen Moncur (Fiona).  Private family arrangements have been concluded by the BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME, 2 Regent Street, Thorold.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the niagaraactionforanimals.org or to the Lincoln County Humane Society would be appreciated.  On-line condolences may be left at www.bocchinfusofh.com
