Halina Liberadzki, 94, of St Catharines, passed away of natural causes, on August 25, 2022 after several years at Heidehof Home.

Halina, was born on April 12, 1928 in Wloclawek, Poland.  After her husband secured employment in Canada, she with her son, immigrated to Canada from Germany in 1949 aboard USS General Ballou.  After a few years living north of Ottawa, they moved to Niagara Falls and later settled in St Catharines where she was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.  On occasion, they would visit their friends and family in Poland.  In Canada, they had many friends and shared happy experiences together in their new found homeland.  She loved cooking Polish inspired meals and picking fruit and vegetables from local farmers and preserving these for winter months.

Halina was predeceased by husbands Stanley Lech and Richard Liberadzki. She is survived by her son, Jan Lech and his wife Eleanor; her granddaughter Diana Marsden (Tom) and great grandchildren Jacob, Hannah and Benjamin; granddaughter Veronica Lech (Gareth Argyle) and great grandchildren Eli, Max, Stella and Hugo; and grandson Elliott Lech (Dorothy) and great grandchildren Emilia and Liam.

In honouring Halina’s wishes a private family graveside service was held on Monday, August.  29, 2022 at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.  Memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to Considerate Cremation & Burial Services, 26 Nihan Drive, St. Catharines (between Lake Street & Scott Street), 289-362-1144.  Online condolences may be made at CCBSCares.ca
