Ivor Jones was a gifted artist, a tenacious fisherman and one of the funniest people you could ever meet. His knack for accents and creating nicknames for people was legendary.  Who can forget Count Crackula or Yuppie Larvae?  Happiness for Ivor was reeling in a five-pound bass and then releasing it.

He died suddenly at his home in St Catharines on October 11, 2023.  Ivor was loved and will be missed by his family and friends in Barrie, Toronto, St Catharines, Alberta, Saskatchewan, BC, England, Switzerland, France, Aruba, Cuba, Australia, New Zealand and India.

He leaves behind his son, Christopher (Stephanie), and baby grandson, Rhys, son, Austin, and stepson, Aaron St Michel.  He will be sadly missed by his loving parents, Frank and Ayesha, sisters: Farida (John), Yasmin, Fazia (Ed) and brothers: Frank (Kim) and Bryn (Susan).  His many aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews will miss his infectious laugh, off-colour jokes and larger than life personality.

Thankfully, Ivor's incredible paintings hang in many of our homes and will be a constant reminder of his unique talent and generosity.  He is predeceased by his wife, Ruth-Ann Remillard and his long-time companion, Sandy St Michel. Cremation has taken place to be followed by a private family Celebration of Life is planned to honour our beloved Ivor.

Arrangements entrusted to Considerate Cremation & Burial Services, 26 Nihan Drive, St. Catharines (between Lake Street & Scott Street), 289-362-1144.  Online condolences may be made at CCBSCares.ca
