Gaiser, John Allan 1933 - 2023
Finally at peace.
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Allan Gaiser on October 2, 2023. Dad celebrated his 90th birthday August 13th.
His family was his greatest joy. Predeceased by his beloved wife Glenna Stickles(1984). Loving father to Cheryl, Rick, Ron, Diane and Ed Sobkowich. Proud Papa to Andrew(Trish), Courtney(Alex), Kelsey(Brent), Jordan, Michelle(Kirk), Josh(Teresa), Kurtis(Katherine), Brad and Shawna(Kai). Great-Grandpa to Naiben, Carys, Macklen and Brooks. Son of the late Carson(1953) and Florence(1993) Gaiser and brother to Gerald(Marg) and Keith(Anne).
Allan was born in Welland and raised on the family farm on Fitch St. He received his MSc from Queen's University in 1958. Allan enjoyed the challenges of his work at Dofasco as a Mechanical Engineer in Product Development.
Dad cherished his time alone with his thoughts, whether as a boy by the stream on the family farm or as an adult tending to the grapes on his own farm. To honour this, a private family burial has taken place at Hillside Cemetery, Ridgeville.
