Peacefully, at her home, on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 83 years of age.
Born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Carmel was the daughter of Mary (nee Delaney) and Redmond Power. Beloved wife of Mike for 56 years. Loving Mom of Michael and his wife Beth Dubé. Proud Gramma of Kathleen, Michael (Melissa) and Sarah Dubé. Dear sister of Gertrude (Frank) Koch, Marion (late Edward) Kocsis, Patricia Power, and the late Mary (Al) Potrecz. Fondly remembered by her nephews: William Potrecz, Robert, Brian & Paul Kocsis and Paul & Michael Dubé.
Carmel was a dedicated employee with Big Brothers and Big Sisters Niagara for many years and was always the life of the party. Carmel’s family would like to acknowledge the incredible support of our HNHB HCCSS, in particular our care coordinator, Paola Lawrence, and our nurse practitioner, Sally Baerg. In keeping with Carmel’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
Memorial Mass will be held on at 1:00 pm at St. Julia Roman Catholic Church, 251 Glenridge Avenue on Saturday, March 18, 2023.
