Passed away peacefully, after prolonged illness at NHS-Welland Site. Loving husband of Christine (nee Davies) for 20 years. He will be missed terribly by Christine’s family; his mother-in-law, Jean Davies, and brother-in-law, Peter Davies (Lynn), and the girls who he called his own daughters, Laura (Jeremy), Emily (Chris) and granddaughters, Lyrica, Lydia and Madelyn.
Jim will also be missed by his sister, Jane Lannon (Mark), and son, Julian Covert, and grandson, Schuyler Covert. He is predeceased by siblings, Joy Kennedy and Patrick Covert.
Jim was born in Chicago, IL but spent most of his life in sunny California which he gave up to start a new life here in Ontario with his wife and family. The best years even in sickness he would say “No regrets.”
A special mention to the Dialysis Unit NHS-St Catharines Site who he called his extended family and made his treatments tolerable. A huge thank you to his care team, Dr. Bastedo, Dr. Adams, Dr. Durant, Dr. Nagai and Dr. Dawn Marie Clark. Everyone had a part in keeping Jim healthy.
