It is with profound sadness and the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Chamberlain on October 15, 2023. His final moments were spent at home, surrounded by those who loved and adored him.

Mike was a lifelong resident of St. Catharines and was employed with General Motors for 35 years before retiring at the age of 52. He then went on to work at General Drop Forge Inc. in Welland for the next five years, before deciding to retire for good. He had many interests and hobbies that he passionately pursued throughout his years. He loved classic cars, collecting and restoring antiques and was a fan of Motorsports and travelling in their motorhome.

Michael is going to be forever missed by the love of his life Mary Lou (Hubbard) with whom he has been married to for the past 58 years. His children, who think the world of him, David (Kelly), Debbie Blair (Perry). Grandchildren Maura Ferri (Trevor), Max, Maddison (Turner), Grace (Josh). Great granddaughters Lennon & Leighton and great grandson making his appearance soon. His sister who adored him, Christine Chamberlain. His sisters-in-law Diane Hubbard, Patricia Landry, Joan Boyle and brother-in-law Cess Boyle, will all miss his kind nature and wonderful sense of humour. He will be fondly remembered by his nephews Pat (Stacy), Liam (Becky), Michael (Anna) and Matthew. Predeceased by his parents, Helen McCormack and Howard Chamberlain. Mother and father-in-law Margaret and George Hubbard, who thought the world of him.

His family wishes to give thanks to nurses, Kim, Ari and Pearl for providing exceptional and compassionate care.

In honouring Mike’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society https://donate.mytributegift.org/Service?cid=539b96d19be68dc6131e602e68e47f13a965a6dea5babf388cf512c1d06ddc1e or the Humane Society of Greater Niagara, would be appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to Considerate Cremation & Burial Services, 26 Nihan Drive, St. Catharines (between Lake Street & Scott Street), 289-362-1144.  Online condolences may be made at CCBSCares.ca
