After a heroic battle with Granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) disease, Elviana entered into the arms of Christ on April 7, 2023. She was welcomed by her daughters Melissa and Jennifer and her parents Adelina and Nicola. Elviana continues to lead the way for her beloved soulmate and husband Cosmo, her adoring children Jennifer, Melissa (Alfonso), Bruno (Tasya) and Julia (Darek) and her cherished sister Patricia DiFilippo. Elviana was a proud grandmother to Isabella, Gabriel, Colton, Valentina and Violet.

Elviana’s greatest joy were her children, grandchildren, family, friends and students as she served the most vulnerable children across the Niagara Catholic District School Board for over 20 years. Elvi, as she was known to her friends and family, was a true teacher and she taught and modeled for her family the importance of faith, hope, love, courage and determination in the face of suffering. For her life of light, love and service to others, she has been rewarded with the promise of eternal life.

She exemplified the words in 2 Timothy 4:7, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the

race, I have kept the faith.”

A private Funeral Liturgy Outside of Mass will be held. For those who wish to send condolences, in lieu of flowers, a donation to one of the charities close to Elvi’s heart would be appreciated: Diabetes Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society. Online condolences may be left at www.Bocchinfusofh.com.

The family wishes to personally thank Josephine, Elvi’s personal nurse who was her angel on

earth. They would also like to thank Dr. Rosa and all of her nurses and personal support workers that have provided her with care and comfort during her long illness.
