February 2, 1931 – January 13, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Leonard on January 13, 2021 in his 89th year with his cherished wife of 68 years, Murielle, by his side. Beloved father of Susan (Robert White), Wayne (Pauline) and Steven (Frances). Leonard will be lovingly missed by his sister Doreen (the late John McTague) and sister-in-law Shauna (the late Kenneth). He will be missed by many grandchildren, great-grand children, nieces, and nephews. Leonard was a proud Ontario Hydro retiree having spent a long and successful career working at numerous power generation sites across our great province. His love of the great outdoors was obvious for all to see. From fishing in Algonquin, to hunting with his late brother Kenny, his adventures were told with passion, humour and sharp wit. But perhaps his most memorable moments were spent at his treasured cottage built with pride and joy on the shores of Carson Lake! So many gatherings were had with family, friends and grandchildren that will remain etched in our memories forever. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family.
