Welland stretched its win streak to three games with a 6-2 home victory Thursday over Chatham-Kent.

Jackfish starting pitcher Ben Abram (3-0) was dominant, striking out nine over eight innings. He allowed two runs on six hits with three walks.

Offensively, Greyson Barrett drove in two runs and Matteo Porcellato singled, doubled and scored twice. He also stole four bases. Ethan Hunt and Robert Mullen each had an RBI.

Seth Strong accounted for all of Chatham’s scoring, connecting for a two-run home run to give the Barnstormers a 2-0 lead in the first inning.

On the mound, Kenny Williams (0-2) was charged with four runs on nine hits over 5.2 innings. He walked twice and struck out three.

Chatham-Kent lost its sixth straight game after winning its first two.
