It was the type of game hockey fans hope for as midway through the third period the peewee championship game was knotted at a 0-0 tie.
But at the 10:!5 minute mark Nolan Morris scored for Thorold to take a 1-0 lead over Nobleking and that was enough as Thorold held on for the 1-0 win. Tucker Paone picked up an assist on the goal. The team is sponsored by Techconnection-Voxxlife.
The teams each were assessed four minor penalties, but Nobleking paid the price as Morris cashed in on the man advantage for the power play goal.
