ST. CATHARINES - The Niagara River Lions of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL), the Niagara IceDogs of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), and the Welland Jackfish of the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL), announced today the launch of the Ultimate Niagara Fan Pack.
This collaborative ticket package includes two mid-level tickets for each of the region’s favourite sports teams for the cost of $90. A portion of all ticket sales will be donated to Community Care. Sports enthusiasts can purchase the fan pack starting today until Jan. 7, 2022.
Vice president of operations for the River Lions, Michelle Biskup approached the IceDogs and Jackfish with the idea of a sports pack, and both organizations were eager to team up this holiday season.
“We are thrilled to bring this unique ticket offering to sports fans across the region,” said Biskup. “Now more than ever, the importance of community and working together is critical to the success of our organizations as we all bounce back from the pandemic.“
The IceDogs shared their excitement in joining the local sports community all while supporting the great charity of Community Care.
“The IceDogs look forward to helping showcase the great athletes involved with the River Lions and Jackfish organizations, while also welcoming their fan bases to become part of ours,” commented Owen Stone, manager of icket sales for the IceDogs.
Hockey and basketball fans who are used to calling the Meridian Centre home, will get to experience another top-notch sports facility at the recently upgraded Welland Stadium, home of the Jackfish.
Ryan Harrison, president and director of fun for the Jackfish stated, “We are very excited for the opportunity to partner with such world class organizations and provide an amazing experience for fans, all while giving back to the community. The Jackfish can’t wait to welcome River Lions and IceDogs fans to The Pond for a summer of fun!”
In creating this ticket package, it was important to all three organizations to include a give back component and support a local non-profit in a time of year when they need it most. Selecting Community Care as the recipient was a natural fit.
