Weather advisory in effect for:

  • Niagara Falls - Welland - Southern Niagara Region
  • St. Catharines - Grimsby - Northern Niagara Region

Winter weather travel advisory in effect beginning this afternoon.

Hazard:
Snow amounts of 5 to 12 cm.

Timing:
This afternoon into early Saturday morning.

Discussion:
Snow or rain will begin this afternoon, changing to snow later this afternoon. Snow will come to an end early Saturday morning.

Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
