Where will Thorold's first dog park be located? The city is giving you three options

Once online survey is completed, city will begin developing the site

It is now clear where in Thorold a future dog park could be developed, as the city reveals its three options in an online survey seeking input from the public.

The locations considered are Rolling Meadows, Allanburg Community Centre, and Village of Beaverdams on Kaye Ave. You can see the exact locations in the gallery above.

The city said the locations were picked through process of elimination, and considered criteria such as proximity to water/sewer systems, require minimal removal and not bother immediate neighbours.

The survey features a rating system, so you can give your detailed thoughts on the suggestions before the city begins developing the preferred site. However, all sites could be considered in the future, the survey said.

A dog park was one of the items passed in the 2021 budget, that was recently finalized in city council.
