Niagara Public Health will be running a pop-up vaccine clinic in St Catharines this wekeend, offering both first and second doses.
Starting at noon on Saturday, doses will be handed out until the evening or until supplies run out.
The region said it will be offering Pfizer and Moderna.
The clinic will be held at FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre.
“As we look ahead to getting back to school and work, this pop up clinic is one of the ways that Public Health is making it even easier to get your COVID-19 vaccine,” said Walter Sendzik, Mayor of the City of St. Catharines.
“Getting the shot is just one way that we can all do our part to protect each other and protect the recovery in our neighbourhoods, schools and work places. If you have questions, talk to a trusted health professional or the Niagara Region Public Health team.”
Those coming to visit us at the pop-up clinic are reminded to:
• Wear a mask
• Screen yourself for symptoms of COVID-19. If you're feeling unwell, come visit us another day.
• Take any regular medication
• Make sure to eat before coming to the vaccination clinic to prevent feeling faint or dizzy while being vaccinated
• Wear a loose-fitting top or a t-shirt
• Dress for the weather, as you may need to wait outside
• To get your mind off the needle, bring an object such as a mobile device, fidget spinner or book. You can also bring a person with you for support, such as a family member.
