Wind warning in effect for:

• Niagara Falls - Welland - Southern Niagara Region

Strong winds continue this morning.

Westerly winds gusting up to 90 km/h are expected to continue this morning.

Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break. Utility outages may occur.

• St. Catharines - Grimsby - Northern Niagara Region

Strong winds continue.

Strong westerly winds gusting up to 70 or 80 km/h are expected to continue into early this morning.

The strongest winds are expected near the shores of the Great Lakes where wind gusts up to 90 km/h may occur.

Strong winds may toss loose objects and cause tree branches to break. Isolated utility outages may occur.
