Three Niagara residents die after testing positive for COVID-19

A number of healthcare facilities in Niagara are again battling outbreaks

Niagara Health said three Niagara residents died after testing positive for COVID-19 this weekend. The official death toll now sits at 524, Public Health reported.

Tuesday saw another 59 cases added to the region’s tally, with 1,080 active cases as per official numbers. Thorold has seen a slight drop compared to previous weeks.

After being clear from outbreaks, the list of healthcare facilities affected by the virus is up to 6 homes in the region.

R.H Lawson Eventide Home’s 3rd floor is the latest to report an outbreak, along with Unit H300 at Gilmore Lodge in Fort Erie. The full list can be viewed here.
