If you have ever considered becoming a firefighter, some local opportunities will be opening up soon after the City of Thorold announced it will begin recruiting in September.
Open house information sessions for becoming a Volunteer Firefighter will be held later in September at Station 2 and 4.
All candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Be a minimum of 18 years of age;
- Have a minimum "G " drivers license
- Have minimum Grade 12 education; and
- Live within the boundaries of the City of Thorold, and within the District they are applying for. There are no exceptions.
Dates and times for the open house sessions are:
September 22, 2021 @ 1900 hrs
Station 2, 701 Allanburg Rd
September 29, 2021 @ 1900 hrs
Station 4, 2189 Regional Road
