As the pandemic stopped the physical Terry Fox run, locals got creative in their ways of raising money for cancer research.
Cindy Dickson, an avid participant in the annual event, recently made a call to keep the donations coming – and sent this report to Thorold News on Wednesday:
Cindy Dickson and Team Candace want to thank everyone who participated or donated to the Terry Fox Foundation this year.
We did our virtual walk on Sunday, September 20th, and are glad to report Team Candace alone raised $3099.00 for cancer research.
So far the Thorold Site numbers are at $8088.25 and that is without the school numbers as they are doing their walks this week.
What a great job we did this year despite the adversity we faced. Keep it up Thorold!
