The Bluenose II is among five tall ships upbound in the Welland Canal today

Five tall ships are headed up the Welland Canal this afternoon. The most famous Canadian tall ship, the Bluenose II, is among them.

Joining the Bluenose II in their up-bound journey are the tall ships, Picton Castle, St. Lawrence II, Dennis Sullivan, and Pride of Baltimore II.

The ships were scheduled to be in Thorold for early afternoon but were delayed below Lock 1 in Port Weller where the above photos were taken around 1 p.m. today.
