Spring into summer in Port Robinson

Bridge 12 Pub and Eatery kicks off summer this Sunday

Bridge 12 Pub and Eatery is celebrating the warmer weather with two unique events in Port Robinson.

First, Korina Bielich invites everyone to come eat, drink and shop at the community hub/pub this Sunday, June 2, among vendors that feature products such as Scentsy, glitter and camo, spring outdoor and indoor crafts, wood crafts, homemade soaps, bath bombs, engraved wine glasses, rustic signs, and more, plus a free door prize ticket to everyone that attends.

Then, on June 22, Bridge 12 Pub owner Jovan Bielich will pay homage to his late father by including a Car and Bike Show and Shine during his popular annual outdoor party.

“Sam Bielich and his long-time friend Gary Graham were the founding members of the Back Alley Cruisers Niagara Chapter,” said Korina, Sam’s daughter-in-law. “He loved his cars, motorcycle and was a wonderful father and grandfather and friend. He passed away from lung cancer at the age of 60 in 2010. Hospice Niagara was wonderful to him and the family as he entered his final stages of life. We are forever grateful for their care and kindness.”

The Back Alley Cruisers will host the Car and Bike Show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a $5 entry fee for each vehicle, and trophies awarded for the best bike and best car. All funds raised through the Show & Shine will be donated to Hospice Niagara, in Sam’s memory.

Gates open at noon that Saturday for Bridgefest, with a $5 entry fee, to relax and feast with friends beneath tents in the corner lot beside Bridge 12 Pub. All proceeds will go to the Port Robinson Community Centre. Guests will be treated to classic rock and country, courtesy of The Midnight Sons, who will play from 3 to 7 p.m., followed by The Jay Diem Band appearing at 8 p.m.

Bridge 12 Pub and Eatery is located at 10 River St. in Port Robinson.
