Some changes to Thorold city services after stay-at-home order

No cash payments for city bills, Port Robsinson Ferry Service postponed until May

After the provincial stay-at-home order went into effect yesterday, the city of Thorold announced some changes to their services.

City Hall will continue to offer services by appointment only, where remote options are not available. Changes have been made to the following City services: 

  • Financial transactions must be done remotely and payments can be made by mail, online banking or via the drop box (no cash) at City Hall located at the front door. Appointments for financial transactions and/or in-person Finance Department inquiries will not be offered at this time. 

City staff continue to provide all essential services and are available during regular business hours. For a list of these services:

By-law enforcement coverage will continue to be provided from Monday through Saturday. 

All concerns related to COVID-19 can be relayed to City Hall at 905-227-6613. During evenings, Sunday, and statutory holidays, please contact one of the below options:

The Port Robinson Ferry Service operation will be postponed until Victoria Day Weekend (May 22, 2021), subject to social distancing requirements in place at that time.
