A 34-year-old driver from Niagara Falls is facing criminal charges after a truck was pulled over on the QEW with its trailer missing the right-side wheels.
It was last week that a highway patrol officer was alerted to the vehicle after reports of a suspected impaired driver.
Once the officer apprehended the vehicle, it was clear that two of the wheels of the trailer was missing, effectively dragging the trailer against the ground on the highway.
Police said the driver tested three times the legal limit before he was arrested.
