Old Thorold train tracks to be torn up and removed starting this week

This is when you can expect to see crews cleaning up your area

The City of Thorold and GioRail will be cleaning up the area from old unused train tracks - and are warning residents that some delays could occur as the project continues.

The work will take place on these locations at these dates:

Cunningham St. between Richmond St. and Lyndon St. West - Sept 13, 2021

Lyndon St. East between Ormond St. South and Carleton St. South - Sept 14, 2021

Ormond St. South between Lyndon St. and Portland St. - Sept 15 & 16, 2021

Pine St between Richmond St and Rose Ave – Sept 20, 2021

Lyndon St. West between Pine St. South and Ormond St. South – Sept 21, 2021

Richmond St. between King St. and Pine St. South – Sept 23 & 24, 2021

The project is slated to be completed in October.
