NRPS pleads for information about missing NOTL man in video

Darren Werner, 58, has not been seen since September 16

Police are renewing the plea for information about the disappearance of a 58-year-old Niagara man who has not been seen for almost two weeks.

Darren Werner, a Niagara-on-the-Lake resident has been missing since September 16.

He was last seen around 9 a.m in the area of Towline Road in NOTL, traveling in an unknown vehicle.

Following concerns for his welfare, police conducted a ground search near his residence, and also deployed a drone to scout the area from above, but with no luck.

On Wednesday morning, Det. Sgt. Richard Gauthier with the Detective Services Unit appeared in a video message pleading for more information about the disappearance.

"If Mr Werner sees this video, by all means, contact your family and let them know you are okay," Gauthier said in the message.

"If anyone has seen Darren or has been in contact, you are also urged to contact police."

Werner is described as 5’11, 180lbs with short grey hair and brown eyes.
