Niagara has 300 active cases following increases this weekend

Since August, 25 of 30 Covid-patients in local hospitals have been unvaccinated

NRPH reported 35 new cases on Monday, as the number of known active cases in the region hit exactly 300.

The number of active cases sorted by municipalities:

Niagara Falls, 96, St Catharines, 82,  Thorold 32, and Welland 19.

The death toll also increased to 425 after the weekend.

12 people are in hospital, of which 4 are being cared for in the ICU. All 12 are unvaccinated, according to Niagara Health.

Of the 30 COVID-19 patients who have been hospitalized since August 7, 25 have been unvaccinated, according to statistics from the hospital system.
