Mayor urges locals to help search for man who vanished downtown

Nicholas Adamson, 29, mysteriously disappeared in March after a night out at the Moose & Goose pub

Thorold mayor Terry Ugulini is urging residents to "stay alert for any possible sign" of Nicholas Adamson, who mysteriously disappeared in March after a night out at the Moose & Goose pub.

In a statement posted Thursday to the city's Facebook page, Ugulini asks everyone in Thorold "to assist in the search for Nicholas by taking the time to look over your properties, inspect your garages and sheds, and stay alert for any possible sign that Nicholas may have been in the area.”

In an interview earlier this week with ThoroldToday, Adamson's mother issued a renewed plea for information.

“We need to raise awareness,” Jennifer Adamson said. “People have to remember that this man is still missing. His family and friends miss him very much. We all miss him, we love him.”

Below is the full statement from the mayor:

“On behalf of City Council and the City of Thorold, I’d like to extend our ongoing concern and support to the Adamson family, who is continuing to navigate this difficult situation.

I strongly urge our Thorold community to assist in the search for Nicholas by taking the time to look over your properties, inspect your garages and sheds, and stay alert for any possible sign that Nicholas may have been in the area.”

Nicholas is described as white, 5’10” with a slim build. He was wearing a white shirt on the night of his disappearance.

Anyone who may have information as to his whereabouts are being asked to contact the NRPS Communications Unit at 905-688-4111 ext. 1009011.
