The Thorold Runway of Recognition is seeking nominations for local sports heroes to be honoured at its induction ceremony on June 10.
Every year, the Runway of Recognition honours athletes, teams, builders and coaches who have contributed to athletic excellence in the City of Thorold.
Besides inducting Thorold sports legends into its hall of fame, awards are handed out to the Male and Female Athlete of the year as well as the Team of the Year. There's also the Albert Ciancio Memorial ‘Friend of Sport Award, and the D. Mahler Award for Coaching Excellence.

Award recipients must have lived in Thorold at some point throughout their life, but do not have to currently reside in the city.
Residents and community members are encouraged to fill out a nomination form on the Runway's website. Nominates close on April 12, 2024.
