Special weather statement in effect for:
- Niagara Falls - Welland - Southern Niagara Region
- St. Catharines - Grimsby - Northern Niagara Region
Significant rainfall expected this evening into Monday morning.
Showers and thunderstorms are expected this evening and will continue into Monday. Local rainfall amounts of 30 to 50 mm are expected by Monday morning.
Higher rainfall amounts in excess of 50 mm are also possible and Rainfall Warnings may be required.
This rainfall is due to a cold front that is currently tracking south through southwestern Ontario.
