Canadian icon Burton Cummings will headline the annual New Year’s Eve bash in Queen Victoria Park tonight in Niagara Falls.

Avenue Inn, Walk Off the Earth, and the Sheepdogs join the musical lineup. Other highlights include two fireworks displays, food and beverages.

The party gets underway at 8 p.m. and runs until 12:30 a.m. at 5875 Falls Ave., Niagara Falls. 

Anyone attending is advised to dress warmly for the outdoor event.

For those who prefer a warmer venue, the Thorold Canadian Corps Unit #44 will host a dinner buffet at 6 p.m.  in the upstairs hall—consisting of pasta, roast beef, chicken, roasted potatoes, veggies and dessert, followed by a dance at 8:30 in the club room downstairs. Musical guest Rock Roll & Roy will bring back the 50s and 60s with a tribute to Roy Orbison. Call 905-227-3161.

A fee of $35 per person includes the buffet as well as party favours, hats, noisemakers and a midnight toast with light fare. The Canadian Corps is located at 7 Clairmont St.
