Fun Fly this Saturday

Watch the skies for fancy feats of flight during the Niagara Region Model Flying Club’s annual Fun Fly

Expect fancy flips, dips and rolls, when Walker’s Field welcomes a variety of model jets and planes to its friendly air space this weekend.

The sky over the Thorold Townline Road will be filled with several types of mini aircraft—many with jet turbines like those found in actual airplanes—during the Niagara Region Model Flying Club’s annual Fun Fly.

Each year, the club’s 80 members host the family-friendly event free of charge, and invite all fans of flight to join them as they watch the sky from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday, July 13.

There will be a barbecue, and bleachers to sit on, but guests can bring their own chairs, if they prefer.

In the event of rain, the show will be moved to Sunday, July 14.

To arrive at Walker’s Field, follow Thorold Stone Rd. east from the Thorold Tunnel, turn right onto Thorold Town Line Rd., and turn into Uppers Lane on the left.
