Final countdown to 2023 Thorold Santa Claus Parade

The city is getting ready to transform downtown Thorold into a Winter Wonderland on Saturday, Nov. 25
Santa and Mrs. Klaus during last year's parade.

Join us for a magical evening as we transform Thorold into a Winter Wonderland. Thorold’s 31st annual Santa Claus Parade will take place in the evening on November 25, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

There will be over 50 participants, entertainers and bands. Belle and the Beast from Beauty and the Beast along with Elsa and Anna from Frozen will make an appearance. Santa and Mrs. Claus will round up the parade along with their grumpy green friend, The Grinch. Canada postal workers will be collecting children’s letters for Santa. Thorold’s Community Activities Group (TCAG) will be collecting non-perishable food items for the local food bank, Community Care. The City of Thorold will have special giveaways along the parade route. While watching the parade, enjoy fresh popcorn and hot chocolate courtesy of HOPA Ports. We will also have food trucks available for those who want to enjoy dinner afterwards with family and friends.

The parade will begin at the intersection of Collier Road and Sullivan Avenue. Heading east on Sullivan Avenue, the parade will continue to Front Street, turning left and ending at the intersection of Front Street and Regent Street. Sidewalks will be open for spectators to view the parade along Sullivan Ave and Front Street.

The City of Thorold is grateful to all of the community sponsors who helped make this event possible with their generous donations: The Book Depot, Empire Homes, Ontario Power Generation, HOPA Ports and Foodland.

There will be seasonally themed backdrops available for some fun group photos. We encourage all of our residents to tag us @CityofThorold so we can share photos on our social media sites. For more information, join the Facebook event at or visit
