Environment Canada is extending its special weather statement issued on Thursday and says that thunderstorms with heavy rain is possible into Saturday morning.
Local rain could bring up to 30 or 60 mm but could increase due to the possibility of multiple thunderstorms.
While the warning was issued for both the southern- and northern parts of the Niagara region, there is still much uncertainty around the exact location or rainfall amounts, the warning said.
