Vincent Wong of St. Catharines plans to pay some bills, help his family and take a trip to Europe after winning $100,000 in an Encore Lotto 6/49 draw. Wong, 55, says this is his first big win and he's been playing the lottery for over 25 years.
"This is the best investment I have ever made," he laughed.
He says he discovered his win on Boxing Day. "I was on my way to meet my family for dinner when I stopped at the convenience store to check my ticket. I didn't believe it when I saw I won $100,000. I called my family to let them know I would be a little late.
"I shared the news with my family when I finally made it to dinner and they were so happy for me," he smiled. "It's an unbelievable experience!"
