The Niagara Health Foundation is thrilled to announce the outstanding success of its annual Gala. This year’s theme was “Hustle for Healthcare” and was held on February 24th at Fallsview Casino Resort all in support of the new South Niagara Hospital.

This year's Gala witnessed its largest attendance yet, with nearly 800 guests coming together to celebrate and contribute to the future of healthcare in the region. The evening not only surpassed expectations in terms of community engagement but also shattered fundraising records.

Over $600,000 was raised during the Gala, marking it as the most successful Gala in the Foundation's history. The lively atmosphere was complemented by the infectious energy of the Gala's Master of Ceremonies, Tim Bolen from CHCH, who skillfully guided the evening's proceedings.

A highlight of the night was the extraordinary "Build-A-Room" segment, hosted by Tim Bolen and Mayor Jim Diodati of Niagara Falls. In just 20 minutes, a staggering $240,000 was raised, setting a new record for this crucial fundraising initiative. This surpasses the 2023 Gala's Fund-A-Room total of $168,000.

Themed around the vibrant disco era, the Gala transformed into a dance 70’s night club with the band "Uptown Groove" keeping the guests on their feet from the moment the doors opened until the clock struck midnight.

The event was graciously hosted by Fallsview Casino & Resort, and the Foundation extends heartfelt appreciation to the Presenting Sponsor, EllisDon, Host Sponsor, Fallsview Casino, Title Sponsors, Precise Parklink & TD, and Premier Sponsor, Red X Carbon, for their invaluable support.

Andrea Scott, President and CEO of Niagara Health Foundation, expressed her gratitude, saying, "The night was incredible, and we are so thankful for the support of our attendees, donors, and sponsors. Our team did a fantastic job transporting us back to the '70s Disco era, showing the community how much support there is for local healthcare and the new South Niagara Hospital."

Photos and videos capturing the vibrant moments of the night will soon be available for media use. For more information about the "It’s Our Future" campaign and the South Niagara hospital project, visit www.ItsOurFuture.com.
