NRPH reported 21 new cases on Wednesday, as the number of active cases hit exactly 200.
In just three days, Niagara’s healthcare system has identified around 70 new cases, as the daily case count has hovered around 25.
Active cases are primarily identified in St Catharines and Niagara Falls.
Thorold saw a slight decrease on Wednesday, to 13 active cases currently.
One new outbreak was added to the 5 currently tracked by NRPH. Health-care facilities and long-term care homes remain free from outbreaks.
Niagara Health is caring for 4 Covid-patients, with one case admitted to the ICU.
