COVID-19: All hospitalized patients in Niagara are unvaccinated, hospital system notes

NRPH reports 26 new cases of COVID-19 in the region on Friday as one more Niagara resident passes away from the virus.

30 registered recoveries on Friday brought the caseload to 240 active known cases in Niagara.

16 of those are located in Thorold, while Niagara Falls and St Catharines are battling around 60 cases each.

9 patients are receiving care in area hospitals according to Niagara Health.

All 9 cases are unvaccinated, and 3 of them have been placed in ICU beds.

The region's total death toll has now reached 429, according to the official statistics.
