NRPH reported 85 new cases of COVID-19 in the region today. There are now 1,231 active known infections across the region according to the official numbers provided by Public Health.
The latest available numbers from Niagara Health show 16 patients in area hospitals are being primarily treated for COVID-19, and 3 patients admitted to the ICU.
While the official death toll has not been adjusted from 519 this week, Niagara Health reported one death on March 8.
