COVID-19: 69 cases in Niagara today

Another day of high double-digit increases of COVID-19 cases in the region was noted on Thursday with 69 cases confirmed.

Following 24 recovered cases from yesterday, the number of active infections being tracked by Public Health was 556 as of noon.

St Catharines currently has 132 active cases, Niagara Falls 120, Welland 44 and Thorold 25.

17 patients are currently admitted to Niagara Health after testing positive for the virus.

6 of them are in the ICU.

According to the latest breakdown, 13 are unvaccinated and 4 fully vaccinated.
