COVID-19: 18 new cases in Niagara today (October 4)

Around 250 active cases across the region after the weekend

Niagara’s public health authority reported 18 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday.

Following 35 recoveries, the number of active cases dropped to 254.

20 of those active cases are located in Thorold, while Niagara Falls and St Catharines are dealing with the largest number of active cases.

14 outbreaks are being tracked by NRPH, with the latest outbreak being located at Maple Park Lodge in Fort Erie, which reported an outbreak of COVID-19 on September 29.

The outbreak at R.H Lawson Eventide Home in Niagara Falls is still ongoing.

Niagara Health said 14 patients are hospitalized with COVID-19 in its latest update.
