Car crashes through Ormond St 7-Eleven entrance

Driver accidentally went in the wrong direction, witnesses said

The 7-Eleven on Ormond St in Thorold will remain closed on Saturday after the front entrance was demolished in an incident on Friday afternoon.

Thorold News learned that a car that had been parked outside the convenience store had accidentally been put in drive instead of reverse, sending it through the glass door entrance, bending the metal beams holding the construction together.

The store will be closed at least through Saturday while the damages are being repaired.

No one was injured in the incident.
