24 cases of Covid-19 in Niagara today

10 in hospital – More than 75 percent of residents fully vaccinated

NRPH reported 24 new cases of Covid-19 in the region on Friday.

Following 23 recoveries, the number of active cases dropped to 177.

The death toll remained unchanged at 439.

9 ongoing outbreaks are being followed by Public Health, however health-care facilities remain free from cases.

10 patients are being treated in hospital after testing positive.

4 are unvaccinated, 5 fully vaccinated and one partially vaccinated.

Patients being cared for are all above 65 years of age.

75.4 percent of Niagara residents are fully vaccinated.
