A knocked down hydro pole by Uppers Lane and Highway 58 has left around 1,400 households in Thorold South without power.
Hydro One reports crews have been dispatched to resolve the problem, and that the estimated time for power to be back is around 3 P.M.
There is yet no word on the motor vehicle incident.
