Vandal targets Grimsby Fire Station vehicles, sign (4 photos)

Police believe the incident occurred overnight on Sept. 14

On Sept. 15, 2022, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) officers assigned to 8 District responded to a mischief complaint at the Grimsby Fire Station located at 261 Ontario St. in the Town of Grimsby.

Upon arrival, officers determined three fire department vehicles and one sign had been vandalized with red spray paint. The damage is believed to have occurred during the overnight hours on Sept. 14, 2022. The suspect left behind a single canister of red Rust-oleum caliper paint.

Detectives are appealing to members of the public for assistance. Area residents are encouraged to review their CCTV footage and contact the lead investigator at 905-688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009935 with any relevant information.

Members of the public who wish to provide information anonymously are encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers of Niagara online or by calling 1-800-222-8477. Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards to persons who contact the program with information that leads to an arrest.
