Two taken to hospital following West Lincoln collision

One driver is in stable condition with life-threatening injuries

On Sept. 1, 2021 at approximately 6:25 a.m., 8 District (Grimsby) uniform officers, the West Lincoln Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services attended the area of Caistorville Road and Concession Road 3 in West Lincoln in regards to a motor vehicle collision.

Investigation revealed that a 20-year-old male from Dunnville was operating a blue Honda CR-V northbound on Caistorville Road. A 46-year-old female from Georgetown was operating a blue Nissan Altima southbound on Caistorville Road, when both vehicles collided.

The Honda CR-V flipped and landed on the roof, while the Nissan exited the roadway and ended up in the westbound ditch.

The 20-year-old male was transported to an out of region hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The 46-year-old female was transported to an out of region hospital with life-threatening injuries. She is currently in stable condition.

The investigation remains ongoing by detectives with the Collision Reconstruction Unit.
